This e-learning course is suitable for anyone working in a school, college or early years setting. It is designed to cover everything from what an allergy is and how reactions happen, to recognising and responding to anaphylaxis, and the legal duties schools must meet under Benedict's Law.

This course is available as part of the flick subscription or to license for hosting on your own learning management system. If you attain the pass mark of 75%, you'll be awarded a certificate.
Topics covered in Allergies in Education Training
Topic 1: allergies, reactions and emergencies
Understanding what allergies are and the range of conditions they can involve, recognising the symptoms of a reaction and of anaphylaxis, and knowing how to respond in an emergency – including giving adrenaline and using an inhaler.
Topic 2: Benedict's Law
Understanding schools' new statutory duties from September 2026, including allergy safety policies, spare adrenaline devices, individual healthcare plans, and how to reduce risk and report reactions and near misses.
