The onslaught of legislation means your staff need training. How to do more than just tick the box without breaking the budget

You and your staff are already under pressure with an ever growing workload.

Curriculums are being updated, Ofsted school inspections are changing and then you have everything outside lessons; book marking, school plays and seasonal activities.

Now there’s more.  As of October 2015 by law you have to understand and be able to spot signs of FGM and the Serious Crime Act 2015 has introduced a mandatory reporting duty

In June 2015, a new Prevent duty came into force; all those working with young people are legally obligated to have ‘due regard to the need to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism’.

How to get on top of all this legislation?

Unfortunately, these aren’t topics that you can quickly google on and be good to go.

The teachers in your school need to know how to spot the signs, understand why and how it’s happening and know what to do if they suspect the worst.

They need proper training.  And you’ll be challenged on how well they’ve been trained during inspections.

But balancing good training with tight budgets isn’t easy.

You don’t have to break the budget

You need effective training that covers everything your staff need to know and gives them the confidence to address both FGM and radicalisation should they need to.

You need to be able to roll out this training quickly, without fuss and in a format teachers can access anytime and anywhere.  And all without blowing the budget, or being tied into long term contracts.

Fortunately, all of the above is possible. The flick subscription currently includes all of these courses, plus each course is accredited by CPD and certificated.
