12 days of flickmas

Welcome to our 12 days of flickmas blog, a little countdown, if you will, of our achievements over the last 12 months including some of our ‘stand-out’ moments.

12 – Home Office stamp of approval

Back in March, the Home Office reviewed and vetted our Prevention of Radicalisation course! This was a phenomenal achievement for us at flick, to say that our course is one of only a handful to have official Home Office approval makes us beyond proud. Not seen or completed our Home Office approved training yet? You can find it here.

11 – Neat e-learning

Over the past year we’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic companies including Halfords and Barry Callebaut to create some brilliant bespoke courses. Using new techniques and really pushing the boundaries of what ‘affordable e-learning’ can provide its customers – we truly are bringing game-changing e-learning to the masses. Fancy some amazing custom training created yourself? Have a look at what flick can do for you here

10 – Pints of milk

The amount of milk, including that soya stuff one of us drinks, we get through each week – after all, tea and coffee is an important part of our working day (as you may know from our Instagram feed... coffee features quite a lot!)

9 – Nine thousand…

So far in December alone, over 9,000 flick courses (well… 9462 to be exact) have been accessed, completed and certificated. As lovers of statistics, we worked that out to be an average of 450 courses a day!

8 – 80 editions of our newsletter – flick-feed

Our weekly newsletter saw it's 80th edition published and sent out this year. Produced every week, we include lots of useful blogs, course recommendations, interesting articles, downloadable goodies and much – much more.

Not receiving it? You're missing out - sign up here and join the cool kids that are already enjoying our weekly newsletter!

7 – 7,356 stock images downloaded by our production and marketing teams

6 – Teamwork makes the dream work

2016 has been a challenging yet fantastic year for the flick family. Our team is happier, stronger, closer, and more productive than we’ve ever been – who would have thought we could achieve so much in such a short amount of time with just 6 members of staff?

It’s true what they say you know – it really is quality over quantity, so cheers to us – and here’s to an amazing 2017!

5 – Five brand new courses

As you may, or may not know (and if not, why not!), our subscription is constantly growing with new content, courses, extra resources, a Pinterest board and YouTube playlist for each course and even downloadable templates and guides – we do like to spoil our subscribers.

2016 saw a total of 5 new courses added into the subscription – pushing our total up to 36 – and there’s lots more to come so watch this space! *spoiler alert* Information security is nearly ready for you too!

4 – 40,000 Childminders

2016 has been a big year for our user numbers – and especially those in the childcare sector. We now have 40,000 childminders enrolled on our courses ready to start competing their compliance and safeguarding training with us!

3 – Our top three courses of 2016 are… *Drumroll please*

1. prevention of radicalisation

2. child protection

3. food hygiene

2 – flick turned 2

2016 was our 2nd birthday! What did we do to celebrate we hear you ask? Well, food – of course. We ate birthday cake, played a game of office bingo and then, ate more cake.

1 – E-Learning Awards 2017 finalists

The 20th October 2016 was another milestone for us at flick. We were announced as a finalist for the 2017 Learning Awards in our submission category, Start-up Learning Provider of the Year! To be listed as a finalist was such an incredible achievement for us.

Being acknowledge for what we’ve created together as a team and sticking to our values of quality e-learning for the masses has made us so proud. To quote the Learning & Performance Institute;

“The 14 awards categories received hundreds of entries from around the globe, and included submissions from many of the world’s leading brands, alongside first-time submissions from emerging technology providers. Every shortlisted finalist has demonstrated exceptional performance and contribution to the learning profession.”

The awards night will take place in London’s Park Lane on Thursday 2nd February 2017- so keep those fingers and toes crossed for us flickfam, and let’s hope that 2017 gets off to a winning start!

Thank You

We want to thank you all for your support over the past 12 months. We are so excited for all the new courses, resources, opportunities and projects we already have lined up for 2017.

So Merry Flickmas and here’s to a Happy New Year!
